With significant experience in numerous Fortune 100 companies and federal government agencies at the executive, management and supervisory level in learning and development, consultation, coaching and organizational change, Bette Krakau has a vast background in customizing learning solutions, processes and tools to meet the unique needs of customers.  She is a certified facilitator for internationally-recognized leadership, career, and team development programs and a speaker at major conferences including Training, ASTD, SHRM, IQPC, Federal Executive Leadership Conference, Federal Training Officer’s Conference, US Intelligence Community Mentoring Conference, and Linkage Inc. on topics such as mentoring, coaching, career development, team development, and talent management.

As an accomplished author, Bette has published articles in professional journals and contributed to several books.  Her publication credits include:

  • Book:  The Handbook of Best Practices for Teams in the late 1990s
  • Articles: "Igniting Mentoring for a New Business Landscape" and "Why Mentoring? Put Talent Front and Center”, coauthored with Dr. Beverly Kaye, founder and CEO of Career Systems
  • Article: "Stopping Mid-Career Crisis" in the Nov 2011 issue of Harvard Business Review (contributor)
  • Book Chapter: "Mentoring: A Critical Process for Development" (written with Beverly Kaye), published in The 2013 Pfeiffer Annual Consulting (November 2012)
  • Book: Conducted extensive global research for the 5th and 6th editions (2021) of the bestselling business book Love 'Em or Lose 'Em: Getting Good People to Stay by Beverly Kaye and Sharon Jordan-Evans
     

She has consulted, designed and facilitated learning within a wide range of industries across North America and globally. Her global assignments include projects with US AID, World Bank, US Agricultural Cooperative Development International, Trane globally, Ingersoll Rand globally, Singapore Airlines and others.
