Wade Walker

Wade Walker is a senior consultant and instructor with Procept who is a well-known leader in the data and technology space with more than 20 years' experience getting the best out of organizations' data assets. He helps organizations develop visionary and transformational technology strategies and prepare strategies, policies, and procedures to ethically manage, govern and monetize an organization's data assets based on analytics and data science best practices. He views data as an organization's most important tangible asset that must be managed and governed as such.

Over 12 years of international experience has molded him into an effective developer of people, fostering trust, loyalty and respect, regardless of their individual ethnic, cultural, or religious backgrounds.  His international experience started as a senior business intelligence consultant in Switzerland, Italy, Australia and Japan. After, he became the managing director and lead solution architect of a Swiss technology consulting company working across Europe and the Middle East.

Since returning to Canada in 2013, he worked for Hitachi Solutions as their National Director of Business Intelligence Solutions and then later as the chair and conference organizer for the Data Management Conference (DMC Canada) since 2015.  He is also a Director for the University of Calgary, responsible for stewarding all data, applications and technology while fostering a data-driven culture within the university's administration.
