In this 1-day course participants will learn a guaranteed performance improvement plan that can implement informally without the need for higher authority approval. Participants will also have techniques for improving boss-subordinate communication for the purpose of improving subordinate performance, the results being more value gained from annual employee performance reviews and actual performance improvements.
Improve performance and better job results. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge necessary to gain the results which follow from tested principles in managing by objectives - whether or not the organisation has a formal MBO system.
Based on actual experience - not ‘theory’, all concepts will be documented through case examples and by an analysis of participants’ experience. Participants will learn tested, proven, practical approaches to getting results.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Participants will gain the ability to be able to:
- Demonstrate how tradition employees focus on personal characteristics and past performance rather than future performance improvements
- Use the four step performance improvements plan
- Prepare an objective that incorporate the four criteria of a well stated objective
- Perform necessary follow up activities to keep objectives current
- Differentiate between organisational objectives and managerial objectives and how they relate to each level of management.
- Analysis lack of progress towards objectives and what to do about it.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for managers and supervisors and the course would also be suitable for candidates for supervision.

This course has no prerequisite.
